Yoga workshops

Yoga workshops are a great way to deepen your practice and learn more about yoga. We explore different topics in greater depth, having more time then in a regular class. There is a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and a chance to get to know each other over a piece of cake and a cup of tea (or green juice). I love teaching yoga workshops, creating a mini retreat and a much needed time away from the stresses and cares of everyday life. Take a look at what’s on offer and I hope you can join me.

Gentle Yoga and Mala making Workshop

With Katya and Shalena

Saturday  16th of May 2020

Rescheduled to

Saturday 17th October

10:00 – 14:00

£38

Sold out, waiting list available
I’m excited about this workshop. I’m teaming up with the lovely Shalena Turner who’s been creating beautiful malas for herself and to share with others and has found the process to be incredibly immersive, calming and therapeutic.

Shalena is qualified in a number of complimentary therapies but reiki and meditation practice is her main focus (when not juggling children and her day job!) She wanted to combine her hobbies and interests in reiki, meditation, crystals, energy healing and yoga by making and offering mala beads as a holistic approach to health and well-being.
We’ll start the day with gentle yoga to open the body, balancing pranayama to clear our senses and calm the mind and heart opening meditation to tune in, before choosing our beads. You will be guided in how to make your own mala, which you will take home with you. Apart from being such beautiful necklaces to wear, malas have been used for thousands of years by various religions and spiritual seekers, as a meditational tool to help keep the mind focused and for counting as you repeat a mantra, affirmation (either out loud or in your head) or if you want to direct a specific intention into your beads. There is significance to all aspects of the mala, from the knotting, the auspicious number of beads, guru bead and tassel and all of which will be explained.
There will be plenty of herbal tea, coffee and a delicious home made cake.
You will go home feeling peaceful, calm and centred, wearing your beautiful new creation.

All are welcome, no experience necessary.

Spaces are limited, to avoid missing out, book your place early.

To secure your place, the full amount is required upon booking. It is non-refundable. If you can’t make it, you can sell your place to someone else. Email Katya to book your place and for payment details.

Candle lit Yin Yoga and Relaxation

Friday 18:00 – 20:00

2nd October, 30th October, 27th November, 18th December

£20 each or £70 for all 4

My popular Friday evening Yin yoga workshops are back. You can book the whole series of 4 or just one of them.

Come and spend 2 sweet hours letting go of your hectic week, unwinding the tired body, soothing the over stimulated nervous system and calming the restles mind, ready for a rejuvenating weekend.

Each workshop will be different, but they will all include yin yoga poses, meditation, pranayama, and a long relaxation or Yoga Nidra. You will have a chance to slow down, open your body, find your breath and reconnect to your self, leaving you feeling centred, calm and peaceful. We will work with natures slowing rhythm, letting go of the busyness of summer, celebrating our own personal harvest and preparing for winters rest.

In the busy world we all live in now, where burn out seems to be on the rise, it is essential to our physical and mental health to dedicate some time to deep rest. We have the perfect conditions to do so in Yoga Tree Studio, with plenty of bolsters, blankets, eye bags and other props. Under floor heating will keep you warm and cosy and a dark, quiet, candle lit room the space to safely let go of your worries and cares.

Spaces are limited and these workshops tent to fill up quickly.
