Introduction to Meditation
I am excited to offer a BRAND NEW 6 week meditation course in person, held at Yoga Tree Studio.
Just as we take care of our body with healthy food and exercise, meditation serves as inner maintenance for our mind. When we change out mind, we change our brain. What flows through our mind, shapes the brain, so we can use it to shape it for the better. We have a wonderful ability to think, to reflect on the past and think about the future, but that can come with tendencies of catastrophising, replaying the same repetitive loops, avoiding living in the present moment.

The course will run for 6 consecutive weeks, every Tuesday night at 19:30 – 20:30

Start your meditation journey in a small, closed group and in a safe space dedicated solely to yoga and meditation. The sessions will build on each other, therefore it is ideal to come every week, but if you have to miss a session, it’s not a problem. No refunds will be given for missed lessons.
The course will include:
- gentle movement (yoga asana and qi gong)
- breath work (pranayama)
- variety of meditation postures and how to set them up
- hand outs, links and recordings to support your home practice
- support from a teacher and from the group energy
You will learn:
- what meditation is and isn’t
- benefits of meditation
- how to set up your meditation skilfully
- how to prepare yourself for meditation
- different meditation techniques
No previous experience of yoga or meditation is necessary, and even if you have a meditation practice now, you are welcome to join.
